Hi! My name is Todd Hunter.

I’m the founding bishop of The Diocese of Churches for the Sake of Others and founder of The Center for Formation, Justice and Peace. All proceeds from this newsletter go to support the work of The Center, which seeks to advance ministries of justice by assisting in the spiritual formation of people who embody and activate justice.

I believe that justice and peace come from the inside out—from the overflow of a transformed heart. That’s why I started The Center. Every Christ-follower is called to be an agent of rescue in the world, wherever they find themselves—but they often lack the will to do so. My life-long passion is to help others heed the call of Jesus to “come follow me” and thus to live their life in the kingdom of God as Jesus embodied, taught and demonstrated it. You and I are called to be the cooperative friends of Jesus, seeking to live lives of constant creative goodness, for the sake of others, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

In this newsletter, you’ll hear a lot about:

  • The Gospel of the Kingdom

  • Jesus-centered justice

  • Spiritual formation as core to discipleship to Jesus

  • Servant-hearted, kingdom-minded, Spirit-empowered leadership

If you want to learn more about my past endeavors, you can do so here. Thanks for reading. I look forward to journeying together!
